Who is responsible
The controller of your personal data is Lukáš Kleveta, an individual based in the Czech Republic, who runs VibeLiftoff. For anything about your data, email [email protected].
The short version
- We do not set cookies and we do not use advertising or cross-site tracking.
- Our analytics are cookieless and do not identify you, so there is no consent banner.
- Our host keeps short-lived technical logs to deliver the site and keep it secure.
- If you join the newsletter (once it launches) or email us, we keep your email address for that purpose only.
- We never sell or rent personal data.
What we process and why
Hosting and server logs
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages by Cloudflare, Inc. When you load a page, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address, the page requested, the time, your browser's user agent and the referring page. This is needed to deliver the site and to protect it against abuse and attacks. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in running a secure, working website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Cloudflare keeps these logs for a limited time under its own policies; we do not combine them with other data or use them to identify visitors. See Cloudflare's privacy policy (opens in a new tab).
Analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views and see which guides are useful. It is cookieless: it does not set cookies, does not use local storage, and does not fingerprint or track you across sites. It measures aggregate visits without collecting personal data that identifies you. Because nothing is stored on or read from your device for tracking, no consent banner is needed. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Newsletter (planned)
The newsletter is not live yet; the sign-up form currently sends nothing. When it launches, we will name the email provider here. We will store your email address only if you subscribe, based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), and use it only to send the newsletter. Every email will include an unsubscribe link, and you can withdraw consent at any time; we then delete your address from the list.
Emails you send us
If you email us, we use your address and message to reply and keep the conversation as long as needed to handle it (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Ask us any time to delete it.
Affiliate links
Some links to vendors are affiliate links (see our affiliate disclosure). VibeLiftoff itself sets no cookies when you click one. After you land on the vendor's site, that vendor or its affiliate network (for example PartnerStack, Impact or Awin) may set its own cookies to credit the referral. That happens on their site and under their privacy policy, not ours.
Who receives data
Only the service providers named above, acting on our behalf: Cloudflare for hosting and analytics, and the newsletter provider once it is live. Cloudflare may process data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States; such transfers rely on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and/or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses, as described in Cloudflare's own documentation. We do not otherwise share your data unless the law requires it.
How long we keep it
- Server logs: for the limited period set by Cloudflare.
- Analytics: aggregate figures only, with no personal data.
- Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.
- Emails: as long as needed to deal with your message, then deleted.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you and get a copy of it;
- have inaccurate data corrected;
- have your data deleted;
- restrict how we process it;
- receive your data in a portable format;
- object to processing based on legitimate interest;
- withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing that happened before.
To use any of these rights, email [email protected]. We will reply within one month. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In the Czech Republic that is the Office for Personal Data Protection (Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů, ÚOOÚ), uoou.gov.cz (opens in a new tab). If you live elsewhere in the EU, you can also contact the authority in your own country.
Children
VibeLiftoff is not aimed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
Changes to this policy
If what we collect changes, for example when the newsletter launches, we will update this page and its effective date.
